Out of the Norm...

I love the idea of using something different as your headboard. A lot of these you can make yourself or just use what you already have around the house. Having something large above the bed makes the attention draw there, and at the bed.

I like the look of using screens and panels as headboards. They stand tall, and often are intricate and detailed. A great pleasure for the eye!

I LOVE this one with the tall mirrors and frame. Stunning!

The Pizzaz of Orange

Orange was never my favorite color. Something about it that I just thought was over the top, and screamed too loud. Over the past couple years, that has changed. I think that a little orange can really brighten up somebody's life and space.

Just a small dash of orange to an otherwise neutral palette can really make the space say, "Look at me!".

It can be masculine or feminine... (Love the chairs at the end of the bed with stripes, and then paired with a floral pillow)

You can brighten it up, or tone it down

When I was younger, I would have loved beds like these in my room! (I think I would be worried about breaking them now)

Wallpaper

I think that a lot of us remember wallpaper as being the retro, ugly brown, yellow, and orange from the '70's. That isn't the case any more! There are fabulous wallpapers around that set off a room or a space perfectly! (Not to mention all the cool DIY ideas that you could use with the leftovers)

I love the idea of using wallpaper as an accent! This room is gorgeous with the wallpaper panels and paired with the green couch and the pink chair! Love it!

Personally, I enjoy the metallic look of these papers. I like that slight shine that it puts off, and the extra flair is just what some rooms need!

I would have thought that this paper would look way too cluttered, but it works great! Most hallways are such a drab...

Area Rugs

I have been on the hunt for a nice area rug for my living room lately, and these are all ones that I wish I could own! I wanted something simple, and clean looking without looking cluttered, and ended up coming up with many options!

These two first ones are my favorite! Now, if only I was made of money!

Just about all of these rugs I found at Inmod but there are a select few that I found on Overstock.com that are reasonably priced. It sucks that all the good rugs are going to set you back at least a couple hundred bucks...

So pretty...

Table Tonic

Louise, over at Table Tonic has her own store where she features all these amazing things! I am in love with the Vintage Embroidered Suzani Bedspread like seen above. What a great way to add color to any room!

Her collection of Moroccan Wedding Blankets is fabulous as well! Look at the sparkle when the sun hits it!

These are the Mexican Throws

Moroccan Pouffes

Juju Hats

And a wide assortment of great cushions!

Thanks for sharing all this wonderfulness with us Louise!

Sun...

The weather has been so amazing here in California lately! Our Summer finally decided to show up and I couldn't be more thrilled about it! I am going to hopefully spend my day on the beach, or by a pool!

I would just love to cozy up on this bed and take a nice little nap in the sun...

Happy Weekend!

Found these super cool flowers at Trader Joes and had to have them! They look cute behind the couch...

Hope everybody has a lovely weekend! It's my last weekend of the summer before school starts :(

Mirror, Mirror, on the wall...

I've been on the hunt for a cool, unique, funky mirror for super cheap... These are inspirational indeed! With a small space, a mirror is great to make the space look bigger and brighter. I have a mirror in my house that reflects the window, and brings in tons of natural light and I love it!

There are so many types and varieties of mirrors now, that they are art pieces in themselves!
