First off, sorry about the pics being dark. It has been really dark and gloomy here lately, and my house has been staying that way too. I pretty much need a light on all the time...
Anyways, I am slowly decorating my own house for the holidays, and thought I would share a little. Its nothing too fancy...
I saw a pic in BHG that had an ornament hanging from an empty frame. I loved the idea and decided to try it...
I have decided that this year, I am going to stick to a blue, green, silver, white color scheme. I got some decorative paper, and simply rolled it up into a cone to make a tree. I then cut off the access paper and put it on top of a candle holder. The glittered one I made with computer paper, sprayed with spray adhesive and covered with glitter. I think they all turned out great and am pretty proud of the set up!
The silver bowl I scored at Ross for only $3! I filled it will some balls and whatnot I got from the Dollar Store. Like I said, simple- but I think effective. This isn't all I am going to do, and who knows, it might end up changing by the time Christmas gets here
Cute project! I like your paper choices!
ReplyDeleteI found your post a wee bit past Christmas but in time for this Christmas. :o) Great idea on the paper cone trees!
